Description: The WISCONSIN was built in 1914 by Great Lakes Towing Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Wisconsin is a steel hulled tug with a length of 71 feet, and a width of 20 feet. It displaces 98 tons, and has a load capacity of 50 tons. It entered service in the year 1914 under the ownership of Great Lakes Towing Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: After lying idle for several years at the Jefferson Street slip, Cleveland, OH, was scrapped by Acme Scrap Metal & Iron Co. at Ashtabula, OH, in 1968. Final document surrendered in April, 1968. The photograph shows the Wisconsin at Erie, PA. More information about this vessel is available at the HCGL Website
