The PASADENA was built in 1889 by Ship Owner's Dry Dock Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Pasadena is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 250 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 1760 tons, and has a load capacity of 1468 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Struck breakwater at entrance to Portage Ship Canal, Lake Superior, October 8, 1906, seeking shelter while in tow of propeller GLADSTONE; 2 lives lost. Bound from Ashtabula, OH, for Superior, WI, with cargo of coal at time of loss. Final enrollment surrendered at Cleveland, OH, June 30, 1907. The photograph shows the Pasadena under way on the Great Lakes.
