The DAWNLITE was built in 1916 by Toledo Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Dawnlite is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 252 feet, and a width of 43 feet. It displaces 1976 tons, and has a load capacity of 1601 tons. It entered service in the year 1916 under the ownership of Standard Oil Co. (NJ) of New York, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold to Mexican buyers in 1950; ultimate disposition unknown.
