The EUREKA was built in 1899 by Cleveland Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Eureka is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 237 feet, and a width of 42 feet. It displaces 2122 tons, and has a load capacity of 1399 tons. It entered service in the year 1899 under the ownership of American Ship Building Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped in Japan in October, 1937.
