The JOHN KENDALL was built in 1929 by Toledo Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The John Kendall is a steel hulled fire tug with a length of 128 feet, and a width of 29 feet. It displaces 347 tons, and has a load capacity of 159 tons. It entered service in the year 1929 under the ownership of City of Detroit (Fire Dept.) of Detroit, MI U.S. The photograph shows the John Kendall under way on the Great Lakes.
