The FRONTENAC was built in 1889 by Cleveland Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Frontenac is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 270 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 2003 tons, and has a load capacity of 1676 tons. It entered service in the year 1889 under the ownership of Cleveland Iron Mining Co. of Marquette, MI U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold to German buyers on February 25, 1924 and scrapped in Germany that same year.
