The GEORGE A. STINSON was built in 1978 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The George A. Stinson is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 990 feet, and a width of 105 feet. It displaces 34568 tons, and has a load capacity of 29412 tons. It entered service in the year 1978 under the ownership of National Steel Corp. (Hanna Mining Co., Mgrs.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the George A. Stinson at Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
