dc.description The R.E. SCHUCK was built in 1890 by Thomas Quayle's Sons at Cleveland, OH U.S. The R.E. Schuck is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 265 feet, and a width of 41 feet. It displaces 1867 tons, and has a load capacity of 1523 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Burned to a total loss off Big Summer Island, Green Bay, Lake Michigan, on October 7, 1913; no lives lost. The photograph shows the R.E. Schuck under way on the Great Lakes.
