The TAMPICO was built in 1900 by Craig Shipbuilding Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Tampico is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 247 feet, and a width of 42 feet. It displaces 2133 tons, and has a load capacity of 1451 tons. It entered service in the year 1900 under the ownership of Hawgood Transit Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the Tampico under way on the Great Lakes.
