dc.description The EXILE was built in 1867 by Henry Kelley at Milan, OH (Completed at Huron, OH) U.S. The Exile is a wood hulled schooner with 3 masts, a length of 152 feet, and a width of 29 feet. It displaces 387 tons, and has a load capacity of 368 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Stranded seven miles south of Sturgeon Point Light, Lake Huron, on November 26, 1916, and sank; no lives lost. The photograph shows the Exile under way on the Great Lakes.
