dc.description The EIGHTH SEA was built in 1958 by Hans Hansen Welding Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Eighth Sea is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 34 feet, and a width of 12 feet. It displaces 17 tons, and has a load capacity of 13 tons. It entered service in the year 1958 under the ownership of St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corp. of Massena, NY U.S. The photograph shows the Eighth Sea at Grass River Dock.
