Description: The JOHN M. HUTCHINSON was built in 1873 by Quayle and Martin at Cleveland, OH U.S. The John M. Hutchinson is a schooner with 3 masts, a length of 229 feet, and a width of 36 feet. It displaces 980 tons, and has a load capacity of 931 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Foundered off Keweenaw Point, Lake Superior, August 17, 1905, while in tow of steamer CALEDONIA. No lives lost.
