Description: The WILLIAM G. CLYDE was built in 1929 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The William G. Clyde is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 587 feet, and a width of 60 feet. It displaces 7918 tons, and has a load capacity of 6157 tons. It entered service in the year 1982 under the ownership of USS Great Lakes Fleet, Inc. The photograph shows the William G. Clyde under way on the Great Lakes.
