Description: The CORSICA was built in 1888 by Globe Iron Works at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Corsica is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 299 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 2364 tons, and has a load capacity of 1786 tons. It entered service in the year 1888 under the ownership of Mutual Transportation Co. (M.A. Hanna & Co., Mgrs.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped by Boston Iron & Metal Co., Boston, MA, in 1926-1927.
