The TWIN CITIES was built in 1923 by Great Lakes Engineering Works at Ashtabula, OH U.S. The Twin Cities is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 250 feet, and a width of 42 feet. It displaces 1460 tons, and has a load capacity of 840 tons. It entered service in the year 1923 under the ownership of Minnesota-Atlantic Transit Co. of Duluth, MN U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped at Port Dalhousie, Ontario, 1954, by A. Newman & Co., Ltd. The photograph shows the Twin Cities at Humberstone, Ont.
