Description: The KENSINGTON was built in 1903 by Craig Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Kensington is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 370 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 3762 tons, and has a load capacity of 3130 tons. It entered service in the year 1903 under the ownership of G.A. Tomlinson of Duluth, MN U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Dropped from documentation, January/February, 1972. Passed up at Soo, first week of July, 1972, in tow of tug OLIVE MOORE, for scrapping by Hyman, Michaels Co., at Duluth, MN. Scrapped fall, 1974.
