The FRANKLIN COUNTY was built in 1919 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Franklin County is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 251 feet, and a width of 43 feet. It displaces 2592 tons, and has a load capacity of 1613 tons. It entered service in the year 1919 under the ownership of U.S. Shipping Board of Washington, DC U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Broken up by Union Shipbuilding Co., at Baltimore, MD, in 1931.
