Clarke is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 629 feet, and a width of 70 feet. It displaces 11623 tons, and has a load capacity of 8690 tons. It entered service in the year 1952 under the ownership of Pittsburg Steamship Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the Philip R. Clarke under way on the Great Lakes.
