The J.H. STEVENS was built in 1860 by John A. Stevens at Milan, OH U.S. The J.H. Stevens is a wood hulled sloop with a length of 43 feet, and a width of 17 feet. It displaces 29 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Vessel burned to a total loss at Presque Isle, MI, June 10, 1927. The photograph shows the J.H. Stevens under way on the Great Lakes.
