The H.C. FRICK was built in 1899 by Globe Iron Works at Cleveland, OH U.S. The H.C. Frick is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 416 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4713 tons, and has a load capacity of 3159 tons. It entered service in the year 1899 under the ownership of Cleveland Steamship Co. (John Mitchell, Mgr.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Laid up at Rameys Bend (Port Colborne, Ont.), in 1967, and boilers removed. Passed down, Port Colborne, September 16, 1969, in tow of tugs YVONNE SIMARD and HERBERT A., bound for Quebec. Arrived in tow, at Vado, Italy, August 1, 1970, for scrapping. The photograph shows the H.C. Frick under way on the Great Lakes.
