Description: The ROBERT HOBSON was built in 1926 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Robert Hobson is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 586 feet, and a width of 60 feet. It displaces 8024 tons, and has a load capacity of 6314 tons. It entered service in the year 1926 under the ownership of Interlake Steamship Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Delivered to Port Colborne Marine Terminals, Inc., March 28, 1985, for scrapping at Port Colborne, Ontario.
