The HAMP THOMAS was built in 1968 by Hans Hansen Welding Co., Inc. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Hamp Thomas is a steel hulled tug with a length of 42 feet, and a width of 13 feet. It displaces 22 tons, and has a load capacity of 15 tons. It entered service in the year 1968 under the ownership of Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Co.
