Description: The PERFECTION was built in 1911 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Perfection is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 250 feet, and a width of 43 feet. It displaces 2209 tons, and has a load capacity of 1150 tons. It entered service in the year 1911 under the ownership of Standard Oil Co. (DE) of New York, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sunk by Germans, February 13, 1944, as blockship at Leghorn, Italy. Raised and scrapped at Leghorn after World War II. The photograph shows the Perfection under way on the Great Lakes. More information about this vessel is available at the HCGL Website
