The OGDENSBURG was built in 1930 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH CANADA. The Ogdensburg is a steel hulled barge with a length of 290 feet, and a width of 45 feet. It displaces 1405 tons. It entered service in the year 1930 under the ownership of Canadian Pacific Car and Passenger Transfer, Ltd. of Prescott, Ont. Canada. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sank in heavy weather on September 27, 1991 off Blanc Sablon, Quebec in thirty feet of water.
