The DAVID Z. NORTON was built in 1906 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The David Z. Norton is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 480 feet, and a width of 52 feet. It displaces 5667 tons, and has a load capacity of 4250 tons. It entered service in the year 1906 under the ownership of W.C. Richardson & Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold to Marine Salvage, Ltd., Port Colborne, Ont. Loaded scrap at Cleveland, OH, and passed down Welland Canal, under own power, May 9, 1964. Arrived in tow, Genoa, Italy, June 14, 1964, for scrapping by ARDEM. The photograph shows the David Z.
