The MOSES TAYLOR was built in 1902 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Moses Taylor is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 416 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4772 tons, and has a load capacity of 3401 tons. It entered service in the year 1902 under the ownership of Cleveland Steamship Co.
