The SCOTIA was built in 1873 by Quayle & Martin at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Scotia is a wood hulled schooner with 3 masts, a length of 210 feet, and a width of 34 feet. It displaces 903 tons, and has a load capacity of 858 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Abandoned in 1928. The photograph shows the Scotia at Cleveland, OH.
