The MINERVA was built in 1863 by William A. Jones at Black River (Lorain), OH U.S. The Minerva is a wood hulled schooner with 3 masts, a length of 126 feet, and a width of 25 feet. It displaces 292 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Stranded on Anastasia Island, FL, June 25, 1920. The photograph shows the Minerva under way on the Great Lakes.
