The WILLIAM C. AGNEW was built in 1911 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The William C. Agnew is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 532 feet, and a width of 58 feet. It displaces 6533 tons, and has a load capacity of 4985 tons. It entered service in the year 1911 under the ownership of Buffalo Steamship Co. (John Mitchell, Mgr.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Removed from documentation, Jan/Feb., 1974, sold Canadian for scrapping. Departed Quebec on May 8, 1974, in tandem tow with JACK WIRT and arrived for scrapping at Valencia, Spain, prior to June 7, 1974. The photograph shows the William C.
