Description: The STAMPEDE was built in 1862 by John F. Squires at Huron, OH U.S. The Stampede is a wood hulled schooner with a length of 137 feet, and a width of 26 feet. It displaces 370 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Final enrollment surrendered at Chicago, IL, July 18, 1904, and endorsed "abandoned."
