The IOWA was built in 1915 by Great Lakes Towing Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Iowa is a steel hulled tug with a length of 71 feet, and a width of 20 feet. It displaces 99 tons, and has a load capacity of 52 tons. It entered service in the year 1915 under the ownership of Great Lakes Towing Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the Iowa under way on the Great Lakes.
