The TORRENT was built in 1910 by American Shipbuilding Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Torrent is a steel hulled fire tug with a length of 110 feet, and a width of 28 feet. It displaces 296 tons, and has a load capacity of 197 tons. It entered service in the year 1910 under the ownership of Duluth & Iron Range Railroad Co. of Duluth, MN U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped in 1950.
