The G.A. TOMLINSON was built in 1909 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The G.A. Tomlinson is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 504 feet, and a width of 54 feet. It displaces 6361 tons, and has a load capacity of 4862 tons. It entered service in the year 1909 under the ownership of Brown & Co. (Douglass S.S. Co.) (J.J.H.
