Speer is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 988 feet, and a width of 105 feet. It displaces 34620 tons, and has a load capacity of 28553 tons. It entered service in the year 1980 under the ownership of Connecticut Bank & Trust Co., Trustee, Hartford, CT, (U.S. Steel Corp., Mgr.) of Duluth, MN U.S. The photograph shows the Edgar B.
