The LIGHTSHIP NO. 056 was built in 1891 by Craig Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Lightship No. 056 is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 90 feet, and a width of 20 feet. It displaces 130 tons, and has a load capacity of 101 tons. It entered service in the year 1891 under the ownership of U.S.L.H.S. of Washington, DC U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Abandoned in 1935.
