Description: The GOVERNOR MILLER was built in 1938 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Governor Miller is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 593 feet, and a width of 60 feet. It displaces 8240 tons, and has a load capacity of 6072 tons. It entered service in the year 1938 under the ownership of Pittsburgh Steamship Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Departed Quebec on October 18, 1980, along with ALVA C. DINKEY, in tandem tow of tug CATHY B.; arrived at Ferrol, Spain, November 12, 1980, for scrapping. Demolition begun on November 28, 1980, at Vigo, Spain, by Miguel Partins.
