The THOMAS WALTERS was built in 1911 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Thomas Walters is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 580 feet, and a width of 58 feet. It displaces 7518 tons, and has a load capacity of 5787 tons. It entered service in the year 1911 under the ownership of Interstate Steamship Co. (W.H. Becker, Mgr.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: In Ashtabula for scrapping (Reported December 29, 1984).
