The ALVA was built in 1893 by Cleveland Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Alva is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 324 feet, and a width of 42 feet. It displaces 2419 tons, and has a load capacity of 2000 tons. It entered service in the year 1893 under the ownership of M.A. Bradley (Managing Owner) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped at Sturgeon Bay, WI, in 1937.
