The GEORGE M. HUMPHREY was built in 1927 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The George M. Humphrey is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 586 feet, and a width of 60 feet. It displaces 8004 tons, and has a load capacity of 6311 tons. It entered service in the year 1927 under the ownership of Kinsman Transit Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold for scrapping, 1988.
