The UMBRIA was built in 1904 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Umbria is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 420 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4803 tons, and has a load capacity of 3519 tons. It entered service in the year 1904 under the ownership of Acme Transit Co. (W.A. & A.H. Hawgood, Mgrs.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold, through Luria Brothers, for scrapping by Steel Co. of Canada, Ltd., at Hamilton, Ontario.
