The YALE was built in 1909 by Great Lakes Towing Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Yale is a steel hulled tug with a length of 71 feet, and a width of 20 feet. It displaces 99 tons, and has a load capacity of 36 tons. It entered service in the year 1909 under the ownership of Great Lakes Towing Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the Yale under way on the Great Lakes.
