The EUGENE W. PARGNY was built in 1917 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Eugene W. Pargny is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 580 feet, and a width of 60 feet. It displaces 7724 tons, and has a load capacity of 6020 tons. It entered service in the year 1917 under the ownership of Pittsburg Steamship Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Arrived at Thunder Bay for scrapping (reported December 29, 1984).
