The SENECA was built in 1889 by Globe Iron Works at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Seneca is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 290 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 2669 tons, and has a load capacity of 1939 tons. It entered service in the year 1889 under the ownership of Lehigh Valley Transportation Co. of Buffalo, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold to Italian shipbreakers in 1924 for scrapping.
