dc.description The GEORGE ROGERS was built in 1889 by John Avery at Toledo, OH U.S. The George Rogers is a wood hulled tug with a length of 77 feet, and a width of 18 feet. It displaces 64 tons, and has a load capacity of 33 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Burned off Gill's Pier, south of Cat Head Point, near Glen Haven, MI, Lake Michigan, on August 29, 1914.
