dc.description The JAY C. MORSE was built in 1907 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Jay C. Morse is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 532 feet, and a width of 58 feet. It displaces 6649 tons, and has a load capacity of 5325 tons. It entered service in the year 1907 under the ownership of Pickands, Mather & Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the Jay C. Morse at Downbound Detroit River at Fighting Island, Ont.
