Description: The ISLANDER was built in 1923 by Lake Erie Dry Dock Co.(Mid LaFountain, Mstr Cpntr) at Sandusky, OH U.S. The Islander is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 57 feet, and a width of 16 feet. It displaces 40 tons, and has a load capacity of 27 tons. It entered service in the year 1923 under the ownership of United Fisheries Co. of Sandusky, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Dropped from documentation, January-February, 1973.
