Description: The H. LUELLA WORTHINGTON was built in 1880 by Henry D. Root at Lorain, OH U.S. The H. Luella Worthington is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 148 feet, and a width of 27 feet. It displaces 375 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Stranded in gale, October 21, 1929, 500 yards off shore, one-half mile east of the government pier, Leamington, Ontario, Lake Erie, bound from Detroit for Buffalo. Crew of thirteen rescued by Point Pelee Life Saving crew; vessel became a total loss. The photograph shows the H. Luella Worthington under way on the Great Lakes.
