The CITY OF TRAVERSE was built in 1871 by Quayle & Martin at Cleveland, OH U.S. The City Of Traverse is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 214 feet, and a width of 33 feet. It displaces 1153 tons, and has a load capacity of 925 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Dropped from documentation in 1915; converted to floating dry dock for service at St. Joseph, MI.
