The WILLIAM HOOPES was built in 1934 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The William Hoopes is a steel hulled tug with a length of 50 feet, and a width of 14 feet. It displaces 30 tons, and has a load capacity of 20 tons. It entered service in the year 1934 under the ownership of St. Lawrence River Power Co. of Ogdensburg, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Out of documentation.
