The ILLINOIS was built in 1914 by Great Lakes Towing Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Illinois is a steel hulled tug with a length of 71 feet, and a width of 20 feet. It displaces 99 tons, and has a load capacity of 51 tons. It entered service in the year 1914 under the ownership of Great Lakes Towing Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the Illinois under way on the Great Lakes.
